BODEX carries out projects that support the development of modern technologies and innovative solutions for the transport sector. Thanks to EU funding, the company is able to implement new production processes, develop its technological infrastructure and create modern designs that meet the demands of today’s market.
The project entitled “Innovative production technology for a new, optimised semi-trailer design for multi-variant loading”, co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Programme: Smart Growth Operational Programme (PO IR) 2014–2020, Priority Axis III: Support for innovation in enterprises, Measure 3.2: Support for the implementation of R&D results, Sub-measure 3.2.2: Loan for technological innovation. The project involves the implementation of our own new technology, known as ‘Innovative production technology for a new, optimised semi-trailer design for multi-variant loading’. The technology combines a research and development service acquired from Wrocław University of Technology concerning the optimisation of the semi-trailer frame with a technological solution developed by the company regarding the design of a semi-trailer for multi-variant loading. This solution is the subject of an application to the Polish Patent Office as a proprietary invention in accordance with the Industrial Property Law Act. As a result of the implementation, a semi-trailer will be produced with a frame weight reduced by 500 kg whilst maintaining strength parameters, and a new semi-trailer design for multi-variant loading, based on the elimination of the previously necessary central pillar that hindered the loading of long items for transport.
